Freelance Senior/Principal AI Engineer (Outside IR35)

6–12-month contract possibility to extend or even permanent contract

Based in (Covent Garden) London, – onsite 3-4 days per week

We are working on behalf of a start-up who build AI powered systems. 

Discovery involves strategic work to figure out what to build beyond the noise and AI hype. We support enterprise clients in navigating the mind field of AI Agents. 

We’re seeking an AI Engineer to support our fintech client with building internal knowledge of agents, supporting policies and enabling users to adopt them.

The ideal candidate will bring experience:

•Proven experience building agentic systems and agents

•Comfortable in learning and adopting new AI skills

•Experience training models with Pytorch/AI

•Knowing how to address memory systems

•Full stack development or vibe coding + Devops

•Strong customer facing experience and problem-solving mindset

Nice-to haves include:

•AI research

•How to train LLMs

•Experience working in banking (Anti money laundering, CDD, know your customer)

Interview process:

1hr walk through of your projects/experience, discussing technicalities and decision points

30 minute culture fit with co-founder
