Our client, an AI-driven property management OS based in Manhattan, is looking for a Co-founder / Director of Engineering to join their founding team. They are building the next-generation ecosystem for real estate operations bringing together long-term and short-term rental management, AI automation, and third-party SaaS integrations into one modular platform.

The company has already raised pre-seed funding and has customers lined up for launch and a strong base of advisors and investors, this is an exciting opportunity to step in as a technical co-founder, shaping both the architecture and engineering culture from day one.

As Co-founder / Director of Engineering, you will:

• Take ownership of the core technical vision, leading architectural decisions across backend systems, event-driven workflows, and SDK-based modular applications.

• Build and scale the engineering team, establishing a collaborative, high-performance culture.

• Stay hands-on writing code, ensuring early engineering quality, while guiding the long-term technical roadmap.

• Partner closely with the CEO and CTO on product strategy, ensuring the technical vision aligns with business goals.

Your Profile:

• Previous background building your own company and ready to go again!

• Strong experience with TypeScript and NestJS

• Proficiency with Kafka and event-driven architectures

• Understanding of PostgreSQL and flexible data modeling (EAV pattern)

• Interest or experience in event sourcing and immutable state tracking

• Ideally familiarity or at least an interest in AI.

• Excited about building modular, SDK-driven platforms (think Hubspot / Slack / Shopify / Discord / Stripe-style ecosystems)

• Humble, ambitious, smart, and hardworking (HASH values)

• Passion for building early-stage products and being part of a fast-moving, hands-on engineering culture
