"Build agentic AI workflows across an aging industry!"

Our client is recruiting three Founding Engineers to join a newly funded AI business at a pivotal growth stage. The company operates with a small, senior team (currently four people), has secured funding via a convertible loan, and is already working with enterprise customers on committed year-long contracts.

The platform supports procurement and commercial teams by transforming complex supplier and pricing data into actionable intelligence. They are already delivering measurable savings for clients and are now scaling a complex technical roadmap across AI agents, real-time supplier data reasoning, and large-scale evaluation systems.

This is a hands-on role for engineers who want genuine ownership. You’ll be involved in setting technical direction, building foundational systems, and helping define how engineering operates as the company scales. The setup is collaborative and fast-moving, with frequent interaction with end users.

The role:

As a Founding Engineer, you’ll work across the stack to design and deliver core platform capabilities, with a particular focus on intelligent, automated workflows.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and coordinating AI-driven systems that operate reliably at scale

• Developing frameworks to assess model performance, quality, and safety

• Designing pipelines to ingest, process, and standardise external data sources in real time

• Connecting the platform into enterprise software environments to drive real-world usage

• Working closely with customers to refine features and solve practical problems

• Making key decisions around system architecture, security, and scalability

Your experience:

• Strong commercial experience as a full-stack engineer

• Proficiency with TypeScript and Python

• Experience building modern web applications and APIs (Next.js preferred)

• Exposure to contemporary frontend tooling and deployment workflows

• Hands-on experience with large language models, retrieval techniques, and performance trade-offs

• Background in building, evaluating, or monitoring complex distributed or AI-driven systems

• Professional-level English communication

• Nice to have: experience in procurement, ERP, or enterprise platforms
