We’re seeking a fully remote Flink Engineer to work in an exciting opensource environment, drive the development, deployment and optimization of a tool that will enable engineers to solve problems.

You will be responsible for:

• Develop and optimize real time data processing pipelines in ApacheFlink

• Collaborating with platform and software engineering teams to ensure high-performing data streaming applications

• Implement and enhance the efficiency and scalability the product

• Take ownership to investigate the products technical needs; adapting to align with Flink project roadmap

• Participate in Flink contributions to both internal training programs as well as part of the Flink community

• Create and maintain documentation along the way ensuring best practices.

• Provide technical support and mentorship to other team members

• Remaining up to date with current and new industry trends

The ideal candidate will come with:

• A deep knowledge of Apache Flink; with proven experience in developing, deploying, and optimizing applications

• Strong programming skills in Java or Scala

• Strong understanding of real time data processing, stream processing and distributed systems

• Experience integrating with Kafka, Hadoop and cloud (GCP,AWS or Azure)

• Previous experience in open-source projects

• Strong English communication skills
