Our client, a fast-growing global dating platform, is looking for a Senior Python Backend Developer to join their team remotely.

As the second engineering hire in their Trust & Safety function, you’ll play a pivotal role in building backend systems that work alongside ML engineers to detect, flag, and manage unusual behaviours. You’ll develop scalable internal tooling to support moderation teams and contribute to recognition systems for age detection, safe modes, and user protection features.

Your skills:

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience

• Strong Python expertise, ideally with Django or FastAPI

• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)

• Experience building RESTful APIs

• Good grasp of asynchronous programming and concurrency in Python

• Knowledge of testing frameworks (pytest)

• Interest in AI-powered detection systems or trust & safety tooling is a plus
