Senior Backend Engineer

“Workforce management done right”

A bootstrapped team focused on workforce management, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team in Berlin. This is a hybrid opportunity with 1 day in the office per week.

The business is moving quickly and is staying focused to deliver a modern SaaS Solution consisting of a web and a mobile application. They try to solve the narrow problem surrounding the structure of workforce planning, offering a B2B2C element.

The Role:

• You will develop, maintain, and optimise thier backend services using NestJS and TypeScript technologies. You will constantly improve the existing code base and build new features.

• You will design complex data models and write challenging SQL queries.

• Together with the team you’ll own the backend architecture and constantly challenge and iterate on it.

• You will work together in a cross functional way with Frontend-Developers, Designers, Testers, and a Product Manager.

Your Experience:

• 4+ years of experience working in JavaScript or TypeScript on the backend, ideally using modern frameworks like NestJS.

• You show a solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.

• Significant experience with Relational SQL Databases (preferably Postgres) in production ready environments.

• You understand cloud platforms (i.e., AWS) enough to operate software in production.

• Fluent in English Language
