"Build the data platform powering better healthcare decisions."
We're partnering with a rapidly growing data and analytics business that is transforming how healthcare quality and performance are measured across international markets. Their platform combines large-scale data engineering, advanced analytics, and industry expertise to help healthcare organisations benchmark performance, improve outcomes, and make evidence-based decisions.
As they continue to scale their healthcare data platform, they're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of data ingestion, platform reliability, and pipeline development across a modern cloud-based data ecosystem.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll be responsible for designing, building, and optimising the data infrastructure that supports critical healthcare analytics products and services.
Working closely with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders, you'll help ensure that high-quality, trusted data is accessible, governed, and scalable. You'll play a key role in shaping platform architecture, improving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision making across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
Develop and optimise ELT processes to integrate new data sources into the data platform and data warehouse.
Own data ingestion, orchestration, monitoring, and platform reliability.
Collaborate with Analytics Engineers to deliver clean, well-documented, and reproducible datasets.
Partner with Data Scientists and Analysts to ensure data is accessible, trustworthy, and fit for purpose.
Improve data quality, governance, security, and operational efficiency across the platform.
Drive automation and engineering best practices through CI/CD and modern development workflows.
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of a cloud-native data platform supporting international healthcare initiatives.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience in Data Engineering building production-grade data pipelines and platforms.
Strong Python and SQL skills with experience developing robust ELT processes.
Experience working with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or similar.
Proven experience integrating data from APIs, databases, cloud storage, and external data sources.
Strong cloud engineering experience, ideally within AWS environments.
Experience with technologies such as Snowflake, S3, EC2, ECS, DBT, or similar modern data stack tools.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation practices, ideally using GitHub Actions.
Strong understanding of data quality, governance, scalability, and platform reliability.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Fluent English language skills.
Why Join?
Work on meaningful data challenges that directly impact healthcare outcomes.
Join a collaborative, international team of engineers, analysts, and data scientists.
Influence the direction of a growing data platform used by leading healthcare organisations.
Modern cloud-native technology stack.
High levels of ownership, autonomy, and technical impact.
Strong opportunities for professional growth and career progression.
