Their technology is already deployed in clinical workflows across multiple countries, supporting physicians, researchers, and life sciences organisations in improving cancer diagnosis, treatment selection, and drug development.

The organisation is now entering its next phase of growth: scaling its production engineering capability and evolving how software is built in an increasingly AI-augmented development environment.

The Opportunity

As Senior Vice President Engineering, you will lead a dedicated team of software engineers responsible for building and operating production-grade systems that bring AI models into real-world clinical and pharmaceutical environments.

Working in close partnership with the VP Engineering and ML leadership, you will focus on driving clarity, structure, and execution across the engineering organisation, while shaping the next generation of AI-assisted software development workflows.

This is a senior leadership role with a strong emphasis on people leadership, delivery excellence, and the evolution of engineering culture and operating model.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and develop a team of approximately 12 software engineers, ensuring alignment, clarity, and strong execution across all initiatives.

• Own delivery of key product milestones, ensuring predictable outcomes and effective prioritisation across teams.

• Work closely with engineering, product, and ML leadership to define technical direction and remove organisational blockers.

• Strengthen engineering processes and continuously improve the software development lifecycle.

• Support and mentor engineers, fostering technical growth, autonomy, and accountability.

• Drive adoption of AI-assisted and agentic development workflows across the engineering organisation.

• Help translate AI-native development approaches into scalable internal systems and future product capabilities.

• Act as a bridge between engineering, product, ML, and executive leadership to ensure shared understanding and alignment.

• Establish clear ownership structures, priorities, and decision-making frameworks across teams.

• Build a high-performance culture focused on delivery, quality, and sustainable engineering practices.

AI-Native Engineering Leadership

This organisation is actively exploring and adopting AI-assisted software development practices, including agent-based coding workflows and automation of engineering tasks.
