Our client, an AI-driven property management OS based in Manhattan, is looking to grow their team with a Staff Engineer. They are building the next-generation ecosystem for real estate operations, bringing together long-term and short-term rental management, AI automation, and third-party SaaS integrations into one modular platform.

The company has already raised pre-seed funding and has customers lined up for launch and a strong base of advisors and investors, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the architecture and engineering culture from the ground up.

As Staff Engineer, you’ll work directly alongside the CTO and co-founders, leading the design and implementation of scalable backend systems. You will take ownership of critical components such as event-driven workflows, API integrations, and modular SDK-based applications, while still being hands-on writing code daily.

Your Profile:

• Strong experience with TypeScript and NestJS

• Proficiency with Kafka and event-driven architectures

• Understanding of PostgreSQL and flexible data modeling (EAV pattern)

• Interest or experience in event sourcing and immutable state tracking

• Ideally familiarity or at least an interest in AI.

• Excited about building modular, SDK-driven platforms (think Hubspot / Slack / Shopify / Discord / Stripe-style ecosystems)

• Humble, ambitious, smart, and hardworking (HASH values)

• Passion for building early-stage products and being part of a fast-moving, hands-on engineering culture
