“Lead the team building critical healthcare data pipelines at scale”

Our client, a fast-growing Berlin healthtech startup, is transforming medical practice operations with an AI-powered platform used by hundreds of clinics. They are hiring a Data Integration Lead to own and scale the systems that connect their platform to thousands of third-party practice management systems (PMS).

This is a hands-on leadership role: you will initially contribute individually to integration work while defining technical standards, processes, and eventually building and leading a small data integration team.

What you’ll do:

Technical Ownership:

  • Design and implement read/write integrations across APIs, databases, and UI-based automation

  • Build RPA pipelines where reliable APIs do not exist

  • Ensure data flows are consistent, robust, and scalable across thousands of systems

  • Make decisions on retries, error handling, and observability

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Define technical architecture, best practices, and standards for integration work

  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor integration engineers

  • Establish processes for development, maintenance, and incident management

  • Serve as the bridge between product, infrastructure, and integration teams

What you bring:

  • Hands-on experience in TypeScript and/or Rust

  • Proven track record building and owning complex data integrations

  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, data modeling, and integration patterns

  • Experience with RPA or UI-based automation

  • Prior experience leading engineers or acting as a technical lead

  • Fluent German and startup/scale-up experience

  • Healthcare software or PMS experience a bonus

  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows or standards (e.g., FHIR) a nice to have

Why this role is unique:

  • End-to-end ownership of a critical company capability

  • Mix of hands-on work and leadership, with the opportunity to grow a team over 12–48 months

  • Influence platform reliability, architecture, and processes at scale

Location & perks:

  • Berlin on-site (100%) with modern office space

  • Competitive total compensation including equity

  • Collaborative team culture with regular events

  • Meals, subsidized lunches, and sponsored gym subscription
