Our client, an established media Startup based in Hamburg, is looking for a Senior Golang engineer to join their team. Their platform has 8M+ users worldwide per month and offers their services across the web, iOS, Android and other integrated platforms. This is a hybrid role with 2/3 days per week in their Hamburg office.
The technology:
Their Golang services are powered by AWS infrastructure, employing a combination of Docker containers operating on ECS (Fargate) / EC2 instances and Lambda functions. These elements constitute the foundation for both their WEB and mobile applications, which interact with the data through API gateways. Adhering to the DevOps principle of "You build it, you run it," they operate without a separate operations team. Implementation of "Configuration and Infrastructure as Code" is achieved through Terraform, while build and deployment processes are automated using Gitlab-CI/CD. Their approach emphasises clean code and maintains a healthy equilibrium between ongoing development and refactoring efforts.
Your experience:
3+ years developing backend services
A degree in computer science or training or a degree in a technical or scientific field.
You have implemented larger backend systems alone or in a team and are familiar with all layers
Knowledge of Gitlab, Go, Terraform and AWS stack would be ideal and a plus
English is a must. German is optional and big plus
